I love the jch cache util, which combines javascript calls, puts them at the end, plus gzips css for fast pageloads – but it is only for 1.5. Is there a comparable alternative for Joomla 1.6?

(And, yes, I’ve enabled gzip and caching in Joomla 1.6, but it is still dog-slow.)

Would you not be better off asking on the Joomla.org forums? As far as I know there is no similar component for J1.6.
