I have the template Cache Mode disabled and am using System – CompojoomCache plugin as it uses separate cache files for each type of browser (iphone, handheld etc). This worked perfectly in the previous template (Teline3) that didn’t use the new T3 framework. But now even though the t3 cache is disabled it is still caching everything and is serving up handheld and iphone views to desktop users.

Even thought it’s disabled it is still storing cache files and I have to click the JAT3 Clean Cache button to put things right again. How can I stop it from caching?

if you use any extensions not from joomlart, you need to check: if that extension supports mobile detection or not? if it does not, you should not use it.

You can disable cache from the template backend under global settings. (NOT RECOMMENDED).

turn off optimize css / js feature. enable development mode and disable cache.

It’s specifically designed to detect mobile devices but I’ve disabled it anyway, cleaned all cache etc and just have the JAT3 cache on but if a handheld or mobile visitor browses the site then pages that they visit are either served up to desktop users or are served up with the mega menu css missing, I’ve tested this myself. I’ve noticed that there are lots of similar posts on the forums but no solutions – this is making ja templates unusable on a live site.
