Hi, I am having a problem with the initial installation of the Quickstart. I tried it yesterday, and the today downloaded the package again to try one more time, but both times I get the same:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in F:xampphtdocsntremodulesmod_jatwitterjatwitter.php on line 332

What could be the problem. There must be something in the Quckstart. :confused:

Yep, there is a known problem with the twitter modle that has been fixed but yet to be released. Having said that Arvind re-uploaded Social and Ores last night with fixed versions of the twitter module in the quickstart so you could download that. What I have been doing is going straight into the joomla back end and un-publishing the twitter module just to get the site running. Part of the problem is that the old version used the curl library which not everyone has installed and certainly wamp and xampp do not have active as standard. But there were some other bugs ironed out too.

I actually did download the latest that Arvind uploaded, but had the same problem anyway. I noticed that it was uploaded yesterday and figured threre were some bugs fixed, but nope. Anyway, I will do as you suggested and just unpublish that module for now. Thanks for the tip.

I tried the latest version, installede Jomsocial and now I get:

Fatal error: Class ‘JCache’ not found in F:xampphtdocsntrelibrariesjoomlafactory.php on line 208

A new release should be out early next week. to fix the problems.
