Here is my latest magazine type site built using Joomlart template -JA Xenia
http://www.cambriamagazine.com
Xtras:
iJoomla magazineHave a look around and would welcome any criticisms or suggestions to make it better.
CheersAugust 7, 2007 at 5:18 pm #226555Good choice of template. Maybe find something that is not a slideshow for your magazine covers. Something that rotates along the horizontally might look better. Again, just my personal preference.

August 8, 2007 at 12:13 am #226600Yeah the site looks nice but get rid of the XHTML picture at the bottom right of your template that refers to W3C validation. Your site has too many errors to have that displayed and drawing attention to them. 😉
August 8, 2007 at 11:14 am #226627Thanks bigrk. Have removed the validation image.
August 8, 2007 at 2:32 pm #226642What would be better would be to make the page valid, makes your pages load faster 🙂

I totally agree and it’s really not that tough to do. But way too many seem to not care about it.
August 8, 2007 at 7:31 pm #226655Might not be “not caring” but not being aware of validation, or am I being optmistic 🙂
Anyways, get it valid bridgecom 🙂
August 9, 2007 at 8:40 pm #226702Well I agree it would be better to have it valid css/xhtml. The trouble is the rotating slideshow banner thingy doesnt seem to want to be valid – all the errors appear in this module and I’m not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions?
August 9, 2007 at 9:34 pm #226712Most look like random tags or non-existant tags. I strongly recommend the Web Dev Tool for FF, it has the validator built in. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60

August 9, 2007 at 9:36 pm #226713The template validated when you started and I assume all you did was change the pictures and that was it. Right? A number of the errors come from the articles on your page also some links not configured properly and some missing tags, etc. Have you looked at the errors when trying to validate your site?
