Hi I’m new to Joomla and have put together a guild website for an online game.

http://www.highguardguild.com

Is it possible to hide a module say my “News” module (news_feed) in position “Right” after a user logins in and replace it with say a “User Menu” on my front page?

Hi fudge.
It is impossible to do that if only config.
You only config User Menu only show when user login by config module by Access Level paramater, you choose Registered, this module will only show when user login.
And if you want to hide News module when user login, you must edit code.

ok thank you very much for quick reply….looks like it’s not something easily done so will have to leave it for time being til I get more experienced with Joomla.
