JA Techzone leaves a large vacan area on the right and left side of my browser window.
How can i tell him use the entire width available?

Here is documentation to change Layout width in Template .
This template is based on BS3 . Please follow the procedure for #2: For templates developed with T3 Framework version 2.x+ and integrated Bootstrap 3

Do not forget to take full backup of site before applying changes.
