Hi,

I have just finished a test-bed site and it looks great. Now I want it to go ‘live’ at a location other than where I developed it. Is there an easy way to move everything to the new url?

If it’s on the same domain, it’s very easy. i.e. http://www.yoursite.com is where you want it TO go, and http://www.yoursite.com/demo is where it CURRENTLY is.

Is this the case? If so I’ll send you instructions. It’s mostly FTP’ing everything, no PHPMyAdmin db migration stuff would be necessary.

side note: when you do this often, relative links (not absolute) are major timesavers.

Unfortunately the site I want to post to is under a different url.

It looks like I will have to set the whole thing up from scratch on the new url.
