Hi all,

I have installed a fresh install of Joomla 1.5.12 to test JA Job Board and JA Voice. They are behind a firewall so I can’t provide a link to the site.

I am getting a completely blank page whenever I enable the Job Board modules on a page or navigate to the Component in the front end.

Enabling errors revealed the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class smarttrim in /home/sites/check-on.co.uk/public_html/components/com_javoice/helpers/jahelper.php on line 1948

The error points to a problem with JA Voice, however this works perfectly.

Can they co-exist with each other? Can anyone shed any light on the problem?

I am running Job Board 1.3 and Voice 1.2 currently.

Hi gavinallday,

Sorry for this late turnaround. Actually, we have checked around but still not worked out the root of your issue yet as we have tested with fresh installation and it works fine.

There are two options for the issue now:
1. Reinstall the components on your server
However, pls note that your server allow only <2M files to upload while our JB component is 2,9M. Thus it is unable to freshly install unless you contact with your server manager to increase the file upload maximization to 3 MB.
2. Go to database management area and have all table removed before reinstallation.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Just wanted to add that I was aware of the size of the component, and I extracted the files and used the directory install method. Hopefully this avoided the problem you described.

I will see if I can access the database to clean up and reinstall the component.

The JA Job Board component has been uninstalled.

Using MySQLAdmin, I removed an entry from jos_components for the Job Board. I also noticed the following tables which I believe are related:

jos_ja_applications
jos_ja_categories
jos_ja_codes
jos_ja_config
jos_ja_credits
jos_ja_email
jos_ja_email_draf
jos_ja_employers
jos_ja_feeds
jos_ja_form_fields
jos_ja_form_lists
jos_ja_jobalerts
jos_ja_jobs
jos_ja_location
jos_ja_notes
jos_ja_paymentconfig
jos_ja_permissions
jos_ja_posting_plans
jos_ja_profiles
jos_ja_resumes
jos_ja_shortlist
jos_ja_subscriptions
jos_ja_transactions
jos_ja_xml_feeds
jos_ja_xml_import_feeds
jos_ja_xml_schemas
jos_ja_xml_schemas_details

Could you confirm that they all need to be deleted? Are there any other areas I need to clean up?
