April 7, 2009 at 9:43 am #300397Fabio did you have problems with the page shifting to the left when you clicked on the ‘ask a question’ tab? Or anyone else for that matter?

April 7, 2009 at 10:42 am #300410no shifting problem viewing your demo site. Only a vertical shift that i don’t like but i think it’s not impossible to avoid.

April 7, 2009 at 10:59 am #300413the vertical shift by the tab extending down? The alternative would be to make the tab the same height as your longest Prod Desc or Reveiw…. just not practical.

April 7, 2009 at 1:42 pm #300435Ok, that’s strange . . . it’s not shifting horizontally for me any more when I click the “Ask A Question” tab. Of course, I am looking on my home computer versus my work computer (as I was originally yesterday). I will check it again when I get to work to see if it’s still happening – though I can’t imagine why it would be different.
EDIT:
Okay, you’re not going to believe this, but NOW its doing a horizontal shift when I click “Customer Reviews” – no longer “Ask A Question.” I am using the same browser I use at home (Firefox 3.0.8). Dang quirky code / internetTomC ModeratorTomC

April 7, 2009 at 10:17 pm #300465Hey scotty . . . you’re slackin’ off, man – where are ya ???
(just kidding about the slackin’ off part)
Oh, and there is no longer any shift going on with the tabs !! – woo hoo
Okay, I know I am going to sound like a total spoiled brat – but is there any way to have the first tab flush with the left side of the content box? And what about the possibility of the tabs having rounded edges?
Will the individual user be able to style the tabs himself (i.e. font, background/color) ??
This is so awesome – going to make an already great looking template even better !!!

April 9, 2009 at 8:28 am #300660Sorry busy couple of days…. I’ll get back to this tonight.
If you want the tabs moved to left edge then it’s best I make them all square.
PS: Puppy is home and well! 🙂

April 9, 2009 at 10:04 am #300675fabiomartelli;123526Hi …. any way it’s possible to use the plugin ja tabs in the same way of your java….. in this way it’s possible to insert java and othe plugin into the tabs ….
? Not sure if that is a question or statement?
JA Tabs can be used within the product description with no problems.
JA Tabs can not be used by hard coding it into the flypage. At least not without modifying it first.
The ‘Ask a Question’ form and the ‘Related Products’ section will not work with the hard coded version. I think this is due to a conflict with /plugins/content/ja_tabs/parser.php but it’s beyond my PHP/JS abilities to fix it.
If you know how please tell! 😉

April 9, 2009 at 10:17 am #300677i’ve solved …. just taje a look at
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/harcdode-ja-tabs-into-components-or-modules/
using the plugin the are problems with the parsing … to use lightbox … ask a question.. etc need to force the parser. So instead of using the plugin just write in the flypage the code generated and add the call to javascript…1 user says Thank You to fabiomartelli for this useful post

April 9, 2009 at 11:26 am #300684Ahh I see. Good idea.
Do you have a flypage with it already written into for zeolite? or a sample?

April 9, 2009 at 11:34 am #300687Fabio any idea how to add a second product description? One that could be used for ‘Specifications’ for example?

April 9, 2009 at 12:06 pm #300692i think we are going ot…. anyway in vm there are 4 way of inserting information abaut product.
1- long description
2- short description
3-attribute
4-product type attribute.in a first step i’ve used
the long description (product description) fo a long redational,
some tecnical detail are inserted in short description
some more specification using product type attributes.
each one in a different tab.
With a little hack now i’ll use the long description for a lon redational, and product type attribute (modified) to show all the specification of the product (it’s possible to call in the flypage each single attribute)
and so the short description is free (for now)TomC ModeratorTomC

April 9, 2009 at 3:38 pm #300721Okay, I have been hesitating in making reference to another template with regard to this issue, but this very thing we’re trying to do has been implemented within GavickPro’s eShop template – see any one of the individual product pages to see the example.
My whole purpose for creating this thread was to see if we can get the same result into JA templates (in my case, Zeolite).
If Gavick did it, I’m quite sure we can do it within JA templates – right? -
