    The site was built with Kranos 1.7 template and worked beautifully. Now when we try to make changes they lose all format in text editor. We also can not place images in modules. We tried all we can think of and have searched and not found answer. Can someone please help. Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards,

    I wasn’t sure if you received my PM. The URL is wheatlyneyecare.com. I hope you can help as I’m completely at a loss as to why this is happening. Thanks much.

    I could not reproduce this error as you mentioned. Could you describe the steps you’ve taken so far so that I can check and help you out.

    When I create or modify an article or module all the formating is lost on saving. For example I tried creating a new User12 mod (We now have Ray Ban Sunglasses!) with the following:

    <p><img src=”images/stories/designers/RayBan_200x100.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”We Now Have Ray Ban Sunglasses!” title=”We Now Have Ray Ban Sunglasses!” /></p>
    <p>Come in today and check out our Ray Ban Sunglasses and the rest of our designer <a href=”index.php/our-practice/im-module/item/83″ title=”Designer Frames”>frames</a> and <a href=”index.php/glasses/sunglasses” title=”Designer Sunglasses”>sunglasses</a> at either of<span style=”color: #000000“> <a href=”index.php/our-practice/about-our-practice/our-offices” title=”Our Offices”><span style=”color: #000000“>our offices</span></a>.</span></p>

    The correct showed in the Custom Output window but as soon as I hit save all formating was lost and the image disappeared. This happens any time I try to work in the template.

    It’s not just new but any time we try making any changes to the site the formating is lost. The other User12 module, Get in Touch, when we tried updating a link upon saving lost all of the format and links.

    So basically if we try to touch the site it begins to lose all functionality.

    We updated the PHP to 5.3 thinking that might be the problem but it didn’t solve.

    Did you mean that you tried to modify the site and it worked for you?

    Thanks again very much.

    The problem may come from Editor – TinyMCE

    I fixed it by installing Editor – JCE on back-end site.

    Please check it on your site again.

    That definitely worked. Thanks so much! Another quick question. Have you tried the new JA Mero template? I was looking at it but the slideshow doesn’t seem to work when installed. Any ideas? Thanks again for your help. Very much appreciated.

    I have another question. I liked the JCE and tried installing on another site. But when I went to use the background of editor screen is all black and words are grey. Please see attached. Can you help? I looked through the documentation and used your install as reference and can’t see what is wrong. Thanks.

    The site I tried on was JA Mero template. Maybe I just don’t get that template.

    1) Download the JCE Editor extension
    2) In the Joomla! Administration, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager

    3) Click the Browse button in the Upload Package File section and locate the downloaded zip package. Click Upload & Install.

    If you receive a message to the effect of JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file try installing again using the tar package
    4) Set JCE as the default Joomla! WYSIWYG Editor
    4.1) Go to Site -> Global Configuration.

    4.2) Select ‘Editor – JCE’ from the ‘Default Editor’ select list.

    4.3) Click Save

    1. install_editor_manager
    2. install_editor_browse
    3. global_config_menu

    I had already followed those instructions. They worked on other site templates. But when I did for the JA MERO the editor window is black as it appeared in the image attached last message. Does it not work on the new T3 Framework?

    I found the problem on your site because JCE Editor is loading template.css default of JA Mero Template into backend site and include background BLACK in front-end. See the screenshot.

    When I change in template.css where indicated in the screenshot it changes the site background not the editor. How do I change the editor? Or am I seeing it incorrectly?

    You can try this way:

    – Open file

    <blockquote> templates/ja_mero/css/template.css </blockquote>

    – add new script into end of file

    #tinymce{
    background:#FFFFFF;
    }
