June 5, 2013 at 4:52 pm #188020It does not matter how much I try, I can not get new admins (SuperUsers) accepted on this template. I created a new user when I installed the Quickstart, and after I deleted the two names already there. Now I’ve created a few test SuperUsers, and they show up on the users panel, but the system does not accept them as administrators, altough it lets me login from the frontend and edit text. Odd thing. (Before you ask, YES they have all Super Users permissions. But they don’t even show on the users tables in PHPAdmin…
I am testing on a local server, but never had this problem before. As anyone come across such a mistery?
Also, where are the icons used on the nav bar?

June 6, 2013 at 7:18 am #494971Hi jantunes,
This is so weird with me, too. I also tried to install Quickstart package > create new user but it functions normally.
It may due to your local server, it’s better if your site is live so that I can check

In template, we use “awesome font” for icons. You can view it here :
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/
You can change it by going to menu manager -> edit menu item. Open tab “Link Type Options” and change “Link CSS Style”

June 7, 2013 at 3:01 pm #495146Thanks for the icons tip. I knew how to change it, but did not know the origin.
I As for the Admin, I’ll try it online, but it is strange, and I never had this happen before with other templates.

June 8, 2013 at 3:23 pm #495203Hi jantunes,
Creating a new user should not depend on template, it should relate to Joomla core itself. You can switch default template to a standard Joomla template to check whether this issue persists or not.
So, when your site is live, if you still face this problem, feedback in topic and send PM to me url and admin access of your site.
I will check it for you.
Regards

June 15, 2013 at 10:19 pm #495983Thanks for suggestion and offer to help, but the problem seems to have gone now… And I did nothing but update the system. Suddenly new users created could login… There are always some mysteries in the world!
