I have downloaded and installed 2 templates.
1 – Pollux
2 – Genista
Both directories and subdirectories do not allow me to upload new files
like logo.gif (jpeg) etc.
I also got an error message each time I uploaded the templates.
See attached screenshot.
1858Maybe this is the problem.
Looking forward to a reply
Cheers:)

June 20, 2008 at 11:11 am #254949Hello,
looks like either, the archive is corrupt or the folder is read only. Have you tried to re-download, then extract on your PC and upload the template folder onto your Server?

June 20, 2008 at 11:37 am #254955Have you checked what the directory permissions are? Might need to CMOD the directories with new permissions.

Have you unpacked the “zip” file? If you did not, you cannot upload into it.
This may be an issue of permissions (CHMOD). If they are not set up correctly, you will not be able to upload into a directory where you do not have permission to upload.
If you are not quite familiar with Joomla and Joomlart templates, try to use the combined Joomla-(Joomlart) template QuickStart kit for your installations. One of the features of the QuickStart installation is to set the default CHMOD for the files and directories.
