Hello,
I just installed your new template and was in the process of making my edits. I noticed that I’m not able to insert images. Can you check that out… ThanksOctober 7, 2009 at 5:18 pm #319771I’m able to place images, but now when I try to align them (either going left or right) they force themselfs to the top. Is this a bug or something that the template does?
October 11, 2009 at 8:00 pm #320207I am having the same problem, normally I can align my images but for some reason I am unable to do this. It appears to work but in preview mode, the image is placed on the top of the text in a white shadow box. I’ve posted a thread on this as well. I think this must have something to do with the popup plugin that comes with the template. I’ve tried adding more images and they appear inside a slideshow feature.
Check my demo site. I tried to add 4 images here, this is how it appears on the front-end: http://www.sprucegrovewebdesigns.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=402:shari-wright-425-644-8007&catid=99&Itemid=561

October 13, 2009 at 11:36 pm #320434Oh…this is bizarre.
The template has a JaGroupGroup class going on that is taking all of the images in an article and grouping them into a slideshow at the top. When you click on the first image the slideshow does a Highslide popup to the full sized version of the picture. – You can defeat the popup by disabling the JAPOPUP plugin…but it does not impact the grouping action. They all gather at the top.
THIS IS GREAT! – If you want it to do that.
THIS IS TROUBLE! – If you need images/graphics placed within the story.
There has got to be a way to defeat this as I have numerous pages where I’ll need to show graphs along side specific copy. If however, this is an All or Nothing fuction…then please let us know so we can plan accordingly.Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on this…and hope they will eventually include it in the template documentation. My guess is that this was built in so that images will play nice when viewed on a mobile device. And if that’s the reason…then I’m all for that.
What I don’t understand just yet is why it is not happening in the article on the front page. In the demo, the article with the four icons appears correctly on the front, but if you give it a demo/demo section/category designation…and then view it from inside, it does the same as the rest…all four images are grouped together in a slideshow.
Enough of my random thoughts and observations…but sometimes thinking out loud may trigger some through in your mind.
John.

October 14, 2009 at 12:18 am #320435FINALLY! 🙂
To disable the grouping of the images at the top of ALL articles…
Disable plugin: “THUMBNAIL FOR JOOMLA CONTENT”
But if you want to disable it for specific articles, then simply use {jathumbnail off} in that article.
I missed it earlier because of the bizarre name. Once it is disabled, you can align images as before.
But if you open the plugin, you can see that it has quite a few parameters you can set.So cool…actually a nice little gadget.
FYI…this is also being used in Teline III
John.
