Please someone help me. I can’t upload the template because the file is too large. How to I solve this problem?

Hi cwalker,
What company is your webhosting service?
Are you referring to the zip file?
First of all, you do not upload the template. What you were supposed to do — if you already have installed a Joomla — is to use the Install feature in your installed (working) Joomla. There should be no problem doing this.
Are you just starting your website? If you are, and you seem to be quite new in this, I would suggest that you use the Joomla-JA Teline II QuickStart Kit. I nornally unpack the zip file. before installing just the Joomla-JA Teline II QuickStart folder from the unpacked kit.
There are a number of procedures here, to do this — including one by Hung (see sticky above). I have one posted for Joomla 1.0x-JA Teline II Quickstart. to which Menalto responded for his Joomla 1.5x-JA Teline II Quickstart. installation procedure.

You upload that template to your host, to folder templates/template_name
Then extract that template package.
Go to your administrator panel and go to template manager (or site templates in J! 1.0), refresh you will see new template appear. just select it and set as default.

Goodluck</blockquote>But, how can this be done kashxo, if his first problem is that he claims that the template file (zip???) is supposed to be too large, to begin with, already?
