Can we define the whole Joomla tree (admin, modules, plug-ins, images etc) in this component to serve them via Amazon S3?

February 17, 2011 at 7:58 am #377101Hello mate,
yes, you can put whole joomla site to Amazon S3.
Note: please enable option ‘apply to admin’ on plugin configuration page to get it work with back-end.
Best regards,

February 21, 2011 at 2:59 am #377630Hello mate,
Sorry, I mistaken about your question.
You can upload anything to amazon s3, but s3 is only storage service so that your server side code file will not be executed.
If you want to deploy your application on amazon server, you can check a ‘Amazon EC2’ service.

<blockquote>I would advice you to put the whole site root onto the s3 bucket. So that your CSS and JS files and css images (template images) are also loaded from the clouds. That would give you added boost in performance.

When dravindc says “put the whole site root onto the s3 bucket”, It means that you can put all static files on any folder of Joomla site to S3, included administrator, libraries, …
