I have just upgraded the template to 2.5, and cannot change the color from dark brown to brown-green. I got help with this before (solved issues), but since the upgrade, I cannot uncheck the Default in Theme Settings (not for the default profile or the content-right profile. I am stuck with the dark brown template for all pages) :((:

    Hello,

How did you perform the upgrade ? It looks like you have not uploaded the color themes and that’s why you can’t assign any color theme to any of your menu items.

Please try to upload the color themes and check again!

    Regards

Thanks for responding. Sorry to ask a dumb question, but how do I upload the color themes? (I have always installed using quickstart, so I’ve never had to do this before).

Ok, I can see where to “Upload A Package File” under Template Manager > Themes. And in the template download, in the template folder, there is a ja_community_plus.v2.5.0.zip file which contains themes. I tried unzipping this file first, but the “Upload a Package File” does not recognise the unzipped themes. Quite confused. What exactly am I supposed to upload?

    Hi missyw,

Please download the template package in the download area. Then install and override it on your site

    Hi HeR0
What you suggest does not make sense. The template has already been upgraded to 2.5. This was done by Joomlart support people when they resolved a problem I had with JA-Extension Manager. So why would I need to re-install the template yet again?

    Hi Missyw,

It’s an alternative solution, it would give a faster solution to your issue.
You can copy the folder then map the theme to your profile in profile template.

    Hi HeRO,
I tried reinstalling the template manually. It did fix the problem of the missing themes, but I still couldn’t change the colour.
Then I realised I had not upgraded the 2.5 plugin for the JA T3 Framework. After upgrading that (and all other components), the problem was fixed. I have now been able to change the colour theme 😀

It still works a little differently in 2.5 … you cannot uncheck the default theme (as I had to do with 1.3):

It’s a bit of a mystery which part was the cause of the problem – was it the missing themes when the template was upgraded using JA-Ext-Manager, or was it my failure to upgrade the JA T3 Framework plugin, or both??

Anyway, all’s well that ends well, though it took me FOREVER to resolve this. Thanks for your suggestion!
    Regards,
    Missy
