In J16, there is setting that we can duplicate template and assign it to certain language but JA template seems not allow us to do it. I have tried many times but never save it as I set it up. Do I need to duplicate the template and change its name? Please advice.

This may be a bug of JA T3 framework for Joomla 1.6. I’ve reported it to team to check and fix it soon.

Unzip template.
Change folder name adding f.e. _2
Open templateDetails.xml
Change tag Name: add _2
Save templateDetails.xml
Zip template
Install by manager
Use

This will require you to do template changes in two places.. not ideal 😉
