I cannot add a hot topic because the menu relating to that does not exist..

basically when i attempt to set an article to news then hot topic those areas do not exist ..
I may have deleted them when i was starting the process of learning joomla or they may not be there … Has anyone an idea of how to solve this. Thankyou

Could someone help.

It might be called “spotlight” …so check if you have module named Spotlight

I have the hot topic module…

The problem is that i cant set the article to the news category because the news section and category dont show

Hello again;

create an article and Under ‘Section’ (drop down Menu) select NEWS and under Category select HOT TOPIC

or are you telling us that the News section is missing completely??

I see you’ve managed to enable the hot topic function can i ask how then i assign a article to hot topic someone earlier said i haveto assign the article to hot topic with the article itself by selecting the news section…..

Since i can’t see the news section how did u assign an article to hot topic?

Ok sorry i understood now you change the category id – damnit i’m slow basically i select another category and that will act as the news category for hot news.
