Hi I am from http://www.combatgamerhq.com
I am using joomla 2.5 with business 2.5 template and Phoca Google Adsense Easy plugin.
I have tried for a few days now to configure my modules so my Adsense Ads will sit correctly without being cut off on the sides. I have made some small progress by changing the right side padding and using the _noborder prefix. If you look at my website you can see that the main banner ad under my slideshow is cutting off about 20% of the right side of the ad. Some of my other ads do that as well. Like I said I have tried and tried to edit my template css with no luck.
I think for the banner add, it is the right module positions that are cutting it short. Because on the page I have with no right modules it appears fine. So ideally, I would like to push the main banner over to the left a little so my right module positions aren’t cutting it off. Maybe I am just trying to put my banner in the wrong place, or what else could be wrong? You tell me.
I would be happy to grant you site editing privileges to give my website an overhaul so it looks good. Because I have wasted so much time now I do not think it’s beneficial for me to tinker with it anymore. Please understand that I am someone who takes great pride in figuring things out on my own, and I wouldn’t be asking for help if I felt there was any other option.
Please let me know what you think, any information would be helpful. I just want my website to look good, I think we can all understand that. So take a look http://www.combatgamerhq.com and let me know what you think. Thanks

March 15, 2012 at 7:00 am #443748Can you, perhaps, throw together a mock-up screenshot of how you want the elements on your page to look?
This way, I think we will get a clearer idea of exactly what it is you are looking to accomplish.
March 15, 2012 at 11:31 am #443773Thank you for your quick reply. Sorry I did not see it sooner I was working on my site.
Sure I can post some screens, here you go. Although I’m sure I can make many improvements and my website will never be perfect, as I am a perfectionist. But this is what I am after at the moment. Hope this helps!

Got one more for ya. Oh yeh and I wanted to say that I know the most obvious thing would be to get the correct size AD CODE from google. But these are really the best sizes to be honest I couldnt do much better. If I did, it would be some super small ad or vice versa. Unless I can just manually change the size in the ad code, which I have no idea if I can do that? Don’t think that work because people send those banners to google for advertising and I doubt they could be resized on the fly.

March 18, 2012 at 11:46 pm #444413Firstly, it is apparent that you have performed some significant customization to your template – which may (or may not) be a factor in how certain things are being displayed. JoomlArt Technical Support services are dedicated for bug fixing, products maintainance or general advice on how to use the products only. All custom works that requires to extend products’ core features as shown on our demo site are not subject to support coverage.
Nevertheless, we to make every effort to provide assistance and guidance when and where we can with various customization issues – such as yours.
It appears that the core issue is that the width configurations for your site need to be modified to fit the content you want to include – such as the width of your main content area as well as, perhaps, your right column. So, here is something to try . . .
Open your Site Administration >> Template Manager >> Layouts Tab
Click “Edit” for the “Default” layout.
about halfway down, you will see the following . . .
<blockquote><blocks name=”middle” colwidth=”33″ main-inner=”2″ wrap-inner=”1″>
<block name=”inset2″>right, left</block>
</blockquote>Change the colwidth” value to a lower number – which will affect the width of your right column. Start with “30” and continue to play around with the number until you arrive at the result you like and your banner add fits better.
