I want to have menus that look like those of the demo. I want a column that contains a list of categories within a section, i want a second column to display the content of the ja bulletin module for that section, and in the third column i would like to display a random image either from the joomla or preferably the phoca gallery module. I have gone through all the tutorial stuff, the wiki docs, watched the vids…nothing works.

If I could just have a step by step description of how to do this i will happily do it myself as I have three sections I want to do this with on my site.

    The dev site is http://83.223.125.228/~mnk3/

I am focusing on the Kitchen Cupboards menu item. I have successfully made two columns and placed grouped menu items in each. I am trying to make a third column that can hold a module. I have read the instructions to do this but nothing seems to work. I have tried loading a phoca gallery module to display random images, the standard joomla random images module, the ja bulletin module and the joomla standard latest news module. I can get these modules to display properly in their allotted locations within the site, but not appear in the menu. The closest I can get is to get the title for the Cabinet News (JA Bulletin) module to show up in a column in the menu, but it does not display any of the story links and only displays when i have navigated to the Kitchen Cupboard landing page. Otherwise, that column will not display. And when it does display, if you mouse over the headline it pops up a sub menu over the top of the first with duplicate lines of the module name and no content.

I’m wracking my brains and pulling out my hair with this template. It’s coming along but painfully slowly. It seems either I am misreading the instructions for each module employed or the instructions are flawed. I have the problems mentioned here with the mega menu, no sliding in the newsfp module, and continuing battles with the news pro module to get it to display as I want it to.

In the past I have always used joomlashack templates for my sites and they work well an dhave done so for the past three years. I can implement any of my joomlashack templates from scratch in just a matter of hours. but I saw this template teline iv and got excited. i have been trying to implement teline iv on a scaled down version on just one of my sites. I’ve been at it solidly for the past five days it I am still a long way from success. So, any help in educating me on how to set up this mega menu properly is greatly appreciated!

Can you please shorten your story and attach some screenshots as well?

i don’t understand what you are asking for… what story? screenshots of what? All you need to do is log into the backend of my site using the credentials I have sent you and are in the corresponding tickets, and you can see for yourself the problems….

OK, I have found the cause of this problem — Teline IV/T3 is INCOMPATIBLE with JomSocial and CommunityBuilder. If you unpublish these components and associated plugins/modules, it will work properly. Not so good as CB is one of the most popular add-ons in all of Joomla.
