I cannot install mod_janews_j15.zip as I get error message that another another module is using the mod_janews directory.

How do I find out which module is using the directory?

It’s already installed, so it won’t overwrite it. If you did try and install it before, it may have failed midway through the installation.

Chances are it’s installed, just not published or given a position.
