I’m trying to install k2store and it installs successfully but says it cannot build the k2 menu items so its not shown in the components menu

By K2Store do you mean K2Mart?

Have you successfully installed VM?

Is there a warning message? Or a comment back i.e.

JTableMenu: :_getNode Failed – or something like this?
