Site: demo.benhvienk.vn
Joomla version: 2.5.4
Template: JA Teline IV version 2.5.0
Component installed: Akeeba backup, Attachments, hwdVideoShare, JCE
Hosting Environment: Win2K8 Web Server x 86, XAMPP 1.7.7 (Apache 2.2.21, MySQL 5.5.16 (Community Server), PHP 5.3.8 (VC9 X86 32bit thread safe))

When did the problem happen:
+ Page assignment: after upgrde Joomla from 2.5.1 to 2.5.4

I have some problems with JA Teline IV that need help:

1. I can’t save settings in Language & Page Assignments after upgrade to J 2.5.4. I want to:
+ Load different profile for each language
+ Load Home profile for home page to Hide Main content block then
+ Load Default profile for all other menu items
However, all settings are blank and lost after close and reopen Template Manager: Edit Style page.

2. I want to remove gap in janews1 module position (see attached file)

Please help!

About the gap, have you edited/made any changes in module of this position? As I can see from your site, there is a strange character:

Please remove it.

Hi Hien,

Please try again with the login info I gave you before (tested and it works).
As for the gap, I’ve made some modifications however the gap is still there after revert changes. I can’t find the character you told me. Please help!

1. Would you tell me what /where file did you remove the #65279;”
2. I am still unable to assign language & page assignment as intended. You said “Because menu your site is setting with vi language”
However, I can’t select any menu item except language. It shows blank after click select button. I have created new profile called default-vn but same error.

3. All that I want:
+ Load Default profile (All language) for all page
+ Load profiles for each language
+ load home profile for only home menu item in order to hide main content block
+ then enable to show content by loading profile again (same as demo in quickstart)

Please instruct me how to do. Thank in advance

update:
I can assign home menu item to home profile OR assign vi language to default-vn profile but can’t use them together. I don’t think that two settings are conflict!

Menu your site assign -> vi language
Language & Page Assignments -> select vi language before and assign menu vi language

Actually i did the same as described in that document. Let me clarify my problem:

+ I can assign a language to load its menu successfully.
However
+ I cannot assign Home profile (that hide main content block) to Home menu item and then assign Default profile to the rest.
+ When I try to do that, the second assignment shows blank in left column. It disappears after close then re-open page.
+ I tried with all languages and all menu items -> same result
Pls see attached for more details.

Hi itc247

All most items of about joomla menu is disorder by level, so I temporarily put them to trash. Now you can configure page assignments normally.
