    Cannot translate the:

    Write Message
    Apply Instruction

    and the:

    Job seeker and Employer Menus:
    My Details
    My Applications
    ….
    ….

Does anybody knows how can I translate it? I have been in all the jajobboard.ini files in the Language archive.

    Dear siukin,

Did you try using winGrep software ? You can search the string within the JObBoard folder and it will tell you the matching file and line where the search string is present. You can use *.* in types of files to search, that will search in all file extensions.

I use for this super software pspad (http://www.pspad.com/en/).
(hopefully it will not be taken as a foreign Web site promotion)

    Dear ghostik,

    Dear siukin,

You could have run the softwares on the original files of the downloaded extensions. You must be having zip of jobboard in your computer?

If you can’t find string that you want at lang.ini file
you can try to add you lang.ini file like below

    WRITE MESSAGE=your translated string
    APPLY INSTRUCTION=blabla

    Hi

    Yes and no.
My page is in german. I tried it with the *.ini file. See
    http://musicaljob.ch/
As an Example there is written REGISTER AS AN EMPLOYER .
I changed it in the language manager (de-DE.com_jajobboard.ini) to
“Registrieren als Arbeitgeber”. it works on the following pages, but not at the homepage ???:

    http://musicaljob.ch/index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jajobs&layout=jalist&Itemid=50

    And the
    Forgot your password?
    Forgot your username?
I can’t translate. When I change it in the .ini, nothing happens.

    best regards

Ok I translated 1 of the two I wanted:

    WRITE MESSAGE (TRANSLATED)
    APPLY INSTRUCTION (TRANSLATED)

I add both strings in the job board main language file.

But now I don’t find the Menu Links Anywhere!

I have the title (Emploer Menu or Job Seeker Menu) and the logout link translated but the links like:

    My Details
    View Applications
    ….etc…

are not translated. I even used the suggested software (thanks btw). It found some strings in some php files but none of them translated the links.

    Hi Siukin,

You can edit all the link titles via (Admin: Menus => Employer Menu | JobSeeker Menu).
If you use JoomFish, you could translate this menu through JoomFish component.

Please try again and let me know for further help.

Ok I just want to hang myself,

The answer was in the menu section of joomla 😛
I was so focused on the language files that I totally forgot to check the joomla menus.

Well thanks everyone, this problem is solved.
