November 12, 2012 at 11:02 am #472647Hi,
With your first problem, please send PM your admin account and your FTP account for further check.

WHY are the VERSION NUMBERS on these updates so very different than the versions we can download in the Extensions Download area on the Joomlart website?

Yes, version numbers of these Extensions is based on what is latest version of it, the version of extension coming with the template and not yet export to the JAEC.
We’re working on it to make them synchronize together.December 8, 2012 at 9:54 am #475541Hi,

JA Slidenews module 2.5.8
JA Slidenews lite module 1.1.2
JA T3v2 System plugin 2.5.7When I try the update, I get the error message below;
Unknown Archive type
Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
Unable to detect manifest filePlease advise.
Thanks for your time.

December 8, 2012 at 10:07 am #475545Hello Jodegbami,
Please make sure that you upgrade JA Extensions on your site via JA Extension Manager.
Here is link userguide for JA Extension Manager (use for both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5) : http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/How-to#Checking_external_repository

Not as straight forward as I hoped, but got it to work eventually.

December 9, 2012 at 4:25 am #475590OK, I successfully updated all the JA extensions through the JA extension manager.
BUT, why then does the Joomla Updater keep on telling me that I need to update all the JA extensions?
I clear the updater cache but each time I log in it is asking me to update them.See screenshot.

December 10, 2012 at 4:17 am #475662Hello Masnz,
You need to refresh on Extension List.
Go to Back-end >> Extension Manager >> click to tab Manager >> Filter to JA Extension >> click Refresh. See: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/744/8101384398.png
Then Go to tab Update >> Click Purge Cache. See: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/744/3854379025.png
All update messages won’t show again.
July 26, 2013 at 11:50 pm #500291I followed the instructions above. There were 7 updates, now down to 2. However, these 2 are up to date but still being flagged as outdated extensions. Can you help me to update these, or find the solution.
cf attachment for screenshot
thanks!
