Migrated site to J3.4.8 from 2.5 Trying to update template from 1.01 to latest version 1.08 Extension manager returns errors:

Warning Copy file failed

Error Error installing template

Have not had problems installing other extensions – any ideas?

Hi
There can be Different reason of error , may be directory permission issue or The older template is too much customization and there are a lot of conflict between old and new template versions .
Kindly Edit your first post the Add your site super user admin details , i will take a look on the problem .

how did u Trying to update the template ?
Because JA Extension manager component is not installed on your site >http://prntscr.com/9s0ay4
Kindly download and install the JA extension manager from [here] (https://www.joomlart.com/downloads/joomla-templates/joomla-3-2-2-5-ja-mendozite/)

The Open it > Service manager > Select Joomlart update > Edit > Add JA Account User/pass .
Save it and set it as default ,
Then Go to template > check for updates and update it from JA Extension manager .

I was not aware that the JA Ext mgr was required, was trying to update through Joomla ext mgr.

I installed and set JA Extension manager as per your instructions.

JA Ext mgr found update, tried to upgrade, received msg : "500 – Copy file failed"

Any suggestions about this?

Hi I checked your site and found there are a lot of conflicted file in the current version and latest version of site . here u can see when u click on compare button : http://prntscr.com/9ss0m8 http://prntscr.com/9ss0rt http://prntscr.com/9ss0v7 This making the issue , have u customized the template file ,
, In this case i suggest you to check the directory permission of /tmp folder and template , its should be writable . if still you have same issue kindly make a replica test site and perform manual update on it . Or give me the test site details and FTP details , i will try to update it , so u can check if its fine then operation can be performed on live site .
