The K2 suport is: http://community.getk2.org/forum
Anyway, if you can not add an image is because you have not enabled the broad parameters of K2 or item or category.

Nor could I!
Or K2 would break my template layout whenever I tried to use it. I dislike K2 accordingly – and have decided it is far too complicated. I would tolerate the complication but not be able to do something as simple as adding an image is frustrating. Also there seem to be an infinite number of parameters for layout of categories and sections rather than the simple blog layout with 1, 2 columns or section layout in Joomla!
And even when I get all the layout parameters exactly the same as the template, it still seems to break!
Also – even after stopping using K2 and disabling the modules and what not does not remove traces of K2 code in my web page source code (admittedly I have not tried uninstalling the component – largesly because I fear it not uninstalling properly through the template admin area)
And finally their website is nothing short of diabolical!! The home page is awful to read with it’s insistence of using garish pictures of mountains (ok, fine, I know K2 is a pretty big mountain). I could not find any logical, structured and readable articles for newbies to get up to speed on K2 and the articles in the support sections seem to be ordered by date – which might be great for someone who has been using K2 from the start (or near the start) but it is diabolical for a new person trying to get into using K2 – in my opinion.
Their tutorials page now links to some simon says purple anion creation and he has thoughfully created articles showing how to use k2. However, the order of these articles is weird!!!!! for the Scetion 2 – Getting started one might expect articles ordered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – etc. but nooooooo, this would be silly! They are ordered, 12, 11, 10, 9, 6 (where did that come from), 4 (where’s 5?), Template (this isnt even a number), 2 (where did 7, 8, 3 and 1 go to).?
It would be far easier to climb K2 unaided and without clothes and oxygen then to bother getting up to speed on K2 – in my opinion.
K2 has extra user lists too – and I have a few members in one table of my database and a few members in another table of my database. So when using a quickstart package with Joomlart you get K2 whether you like it or not.
I really wouldn’t mind if Joomlart never used K2 ever again. There are a good number of K2 templates for now – so why not leave it alone for a bit – or provide quickstart templates with and without K2?
If people like K2 – why can’t they download it and put it on their template themselves?
I’m not a fan of K2. Sorry to be so negative – but I would actually like it if K2 didn’t exist on Joomlart templates please. But of course, people like K2 – but I just wanted to record my opinion. Out of interest – if you agree or disagree with me – would you indicate that some how in this post (if you even see the post). I’m thinking it must be a minority of Joomlart people who want K2 – is that a correct assumption?
The length of words shows my feelings about this. I would love to have used K2 – as it seems to have a lot of fantastic and great features – but it’s so bloody exasperating I think 🙂

August 22, 2010 at 7:36 pm #353389Don’t be too quick to dismiss K2. So far its the best content construction kit available on the web.
Adding an image, you will have to download and install simple image gallery pro from joomlaworks. Afer installation of the plugin, Enable it and go back to your k2 item and select the image tab.
Go back to your k2 categories and check in category view options and item view options if show image is enabled.
Thats all.
Play around with it. Once you get the hang of it. You will never use another product

August 22, 2010 at 8:41 pm #353399Everything seems ok,….Now go to your k2 categories and on the right. Look at the parameters settings for Item view options in category listings
Images should be set to show and also check the item-view
If everything is set to show image. Go to the invividual article and set it to display image. and see if that overide will work.
Either way its your settings. If the image is showing in the back-end and you didn’t edit the default k2 template, then the image should show up.
If you are still stuck,..send me the url and admin/pass
