Hi

Ive tried other templates but you guys have the best for portals. Im only stuck on one thing. In the video section, from the menu, I cant add vides. The apply button takes you to the index pag and I gave access to the guys at seyret through the admin and also ftp and they said that it is a problem with the template. Can you help me?

SInce this post, I changed the theme and it worked fine so it definately is an issue with this theme

Same problem here. Never thought it was related to this tempplate so I posted the question at the Seyret site as well. Ja Teline II is the sweetest template ever, but very buggy 🙁

The temlate is very “buggy” as written in the other post. If you view the template in Firefox and IE7 looks like you have two different templates with the sae design. The problem seems to reside in the way that 3rd party apps and templates are designed proabaly owing to a Joomla structure that isnt prepared for such interaction. If you see the Facebook example, 3rd party apps always work. Maybe instead of coming out with so many templates, Joomlart should look at the most popular and ensure that they are as bug free as possible. Easier said than done.

Maybe we should have to pay more to ensure better service. For what we pay, you have to admit there is alot of value. Personally Id pay more to ensure a bug free solution

I agree with the last post of “nlopes” – that’s the most important – bug free templates,
tested before release with some of the most popular third party plugins/modules.
There is no sense to fight to release as many as possible new templates if the
available for download templates have a lot of bugs and aren’t tested so well.
The second things is – when a update patch (of a template) is released, Joomart has to
indicate CLEARLY what files have been changed and how to update without problem.

nope – have the same problem and no reply… Its a shame – I would just like someone to ackonwledge me,,, wouldnt mind if Joomlart told me that they couldnt do anything – its the not knowing anything that screws up the timings. Can anyone shed some light?

man i came here for another problem with the template and jom comment.. and i seen this thread as i need to install SEYRET Pro for my new site and now it looks like it does not work..

They need to help fix it and point us in the right direction :confused:

Hi

I am puzzled as to why you guys answer all the easy qiestions but then ignore other questions that seem either more technical or who’s solution you dont’ kknow or is too complex.

It would be nice that qauestions could be answered in order of entry but it would be even nicer if someone just stepped forward and said “Sorry We cant deal with that issue for reason…”. That way we wouldn’t be left waiting for 2 weeks.

It’s just about letting us make informed decisions – if this template is that buggy or prone to cause problems with certain components that may be essential to some people – just be transparent. We would be grateful.

yeah Seyrey is major component of Joomla 1.5.3 as we need a fix some both these are compatible with each other..

as this is a great theme but just need some of the bugs or conflicts figured out.

Some freelancer looked at this problem, he couldn’t solved it but this is what he wrote:

The template has the special news layout for the frontpage so it has a special if statement there. Now if I take that if statement out and leave just the main content tag, then the Add video works fine. This is because the component redirects to index.php after uploading to display the info which conflicts with the index.php = Home, which has the special News layout. But taking that if statement out causes the normal frontpage component to show IN ADDITION to the special news layout. I’ve been trying to figure out how it’s loading the special layout with out any luck and I think it would be unacceptable to not use that special layout, since that is kind of the main point of that template. So right now, I know what is causing it but not how to have both features. I would suggest bringing this information to the Seyret forums and either someone with the same problem will have an idea of what will solve or someone from Seyret will have an idea. Additionally Joomlart would know more about that feature of the Teline II template and would probably know best how to fix it. I just don’t know enough about the way this feature on the template works without breaking it.

Let me know if any of that makes sense.
