    Hello everyone,

    I need help.

Well, I have a problem with changing default theme.

I just installed “quickstart” option, but no matter which theme I choose, there is the same default theme of Purity III.
I have also tried to delete the “Purity III – Default” but the thing is the same. Also, when I try to change color, i change it in “template manager” regullary but in web page nothing happens.

I tried to erase and make a new installation but the same happened. :((

This is my web link http://www.rentkombi.com/

This is not a problem. You cannot change default theme.

Create a copy of default theme in theme magic, name it what you feel like, then modify it.

And don’t forget to change theme settings to apply your newly created theme.

You don’t understand me, I don’t want to edit default theme, I want to put complete another theme, for example Beez3, but it don’t want to accept this… whatever I choose, on the front page is always Purity III – Default… I can’t put any another theme….

@mike00: If you’re having a custom theme and want to apply for this Purity III template, in Theme tab settings of a style in template manager, simply select your own theme in the dropdown list.

In case that you want to use another style like Beez, please make sure that you assign this style to menu item of page where you want to have that theme via Assignment tab

The same with above style after changing the theme.

    Hi,

I just installed Purity III quickstart, and for the first step, I want to change the theme color to be RED for ALL pages (menus). Very frustrated :((

I have tried every possible sort of setting, but could not figure out how to really do that for the HOME page, and not sure whether or not I have used the the best possible approach to get it RED for the other pages !

Maybe I don’t have a good understanding of the system, I browsed forum and documentation but nothing helpful founded there. Is there any step by step guide to let us newcomers like me obtain a good understanding of how the system actually works? A guide which explains correlation of settings; It seems so complicated as it employs nested setting.

And one simple question which may act as catalyst to solve the issue:
What should I expect to happen if I change the theme to “red” in Purity III – Default without touching any other setting (e.g. menu assigmnets etc) immediately after installing the quickstart?

    Thanks,

    Hi

Purity III and most of our templates are built with T3 framework, so it’s better if you know more how to work with T3 framework: http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation.html

For the theme settings, some aspects you will need to care about is: Template Style, Theme, Menu assignment.

    – Template style: you can see all template styles on your site in Backend > Extensions > Templates

    – Theme: there are pre-defined theme for each template and you can select via theme option in each template style

    – Menu assignment: this is important setting which can be seen in each template style, you can open a template style, select your desired theme and assign this template style to specific menu item via this option.

Hence, if you want RED theme as default and only theme used on your site, you can follow this way:

    – Go to ‘Template manager’ section, find the default template style and set REB theme for it
    – Check other template style > Menu assignment and see whether it’s assigned to any specific page or not. If yes, you should remove it so that it can use the RED theme you set for default template style.

    I hope this makes senses.
