i can never seem to get the search to work so i apologize if this question is on here somewhere.

i am trying to change the logo for someone but it wont change. i have replaced the original logo with the new one and i have even deleted the logo and its still there

i know its in the right folder

the logo you create must have the same extension that the logo you erase

after doing this upload the logo in the images folder in your template

go to your site

always after doing things like this you can try pres F5 and refresh the site

i realize that and its even the same name but it wont change

So you mean that you uploaded the new logo.gif to the templates/ja_teline/images/ folder and it wouldn’t overwrite the existing logo.gif. Then you should delete the existing logo.gif and then upload the new logo.gif.

Contact your hosting company, you evidently don’t have permission to delete and add new files. What FTP program are you using? I use JoomlaXplorer and have never had the problem that you are running into.

that was exactly the problem.

i use ws_ftp home. i love it but have run into a few permission problems along the way with joomla. ill look int ojoomlaxplorer

No problem. I think you will find adminstrating Joomla much easier with JoomlaXplorer and it’s free! 😎
