You really shouldn’t be working with the less files …. much better to be working with a “custom.css” file.
When editing your CSS, you should have “Optimize CSS” set to “Off” within your Template Manager–General settings. This will usually provide you with the file path to the correct CSS file (when using Firebug or another online editor).
