October 19, 2009 at 12:25 am #145322I uploaded all files of Ja_Lead quickstart 1.5 into my server but cannot even access the web install panel. I get the following error, can you tell me what is going on?
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@team-phenomenon.immortalshades.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Url: http://www.team-phenomenon.com
I uploaded all files and directories minus the installation folder and all seemed fine, once I uploaded the install folder I get this error and no web install…The database was already created via my host control panel so I am just ready for the web install to work…
I am a bit perplxed since this is not my first time with joomla only with this quick start install.
Are there certain permissions that need to be set to get the web installer working? I tried doing a manual install, but I really need the sample data to make my life easier. I found that didnt work out too well so I uninstalled it and here I go again trying for the third time with no luck..

You have just posted this on the forum. Just a few hours back, and since its a Monday morning, many forum helpers might still be getting out of bed.
I suggest you take a look at this forum post – Guidelines for Prompt / Efficient Help

October 19, 2009 at 5:04 am #320924Dear team_phenomenon,
It would be very difficult to give you a answer on this. As we just are not sure, where and how you are trying to install it? If you wish i can give it a try on your behlaf, if you can provide me details of your FTP server and DB.
Or else please raise a ticket. 404 error means the file is missing or the path is wrong.
Arvind

October 19, 2009 at 12:24 pm #320954Thank you sir, I truly appreciate your response
The work thing I find is that if I rename the installation folder to something other installation, I wil get an error that states:
[Quote]
No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting…
[/Quote[
Now once I rename it back to installation, boom I get the prior error in my initial thread. So I assuming the error may be in the installation folder? I guess I may have to start a ticket if need be. Thank you so much for trying to help out.
I think I will try uploading the installation folder from the latest version of joomla just to double check it isnt the folder itself, then I can go from there.

October 19, 2009 at 12:46 pm #320957Okay is the error is in the index.php file in installation, whenever that file is uploaded it screws things up. Please do not mind my post rants here, I figure it may help someone out who runs into such an error. Oh well back to the drawing board……perhaps it is a file permssion on that file. 🙂
Trouble shooting is so much fun when youhave a clear head in the morning
I guess I will just do a manual install and forget the sample data… and just use the ja_lead guide 🙂Phill ModeratorPhill

October 19, 2009 at 1:02 pm #320958What ftp package are you using to upload?
Are you uploading all the files of the quickstart? You say that you are not uploading the installation folder, why?
Is this a new site?
Which version of php are you using?

1: FTP package? – I am assuming you are talking program… I use FlashFXP
I beenusing flash for years with no quickstart issues from other templates.on other domains on this server.2: Yes, I am uploading all files from quickstart.
3: I Uploaded installation folder last to see where the error was coming from, and its comes after I upload the installation folder. So for some strange reason I cannot do the web install on this specific site, but other domains on my server I can with other QS packages.
4: New installation on a old site, but the domain was wiped clean of all previous scripts and packages.
5: PHP version 5.2.5
*Thank you for yoru response!

October 19, 2009 at 1:31 pm #320963Sounds like you are doing everything right an meeting the system requirements. I;ve just tried installing myself and it works fine for me.
So let’s try a different tack. Drop me a pm and I will give you a link to a joomlapacked version of JA_Lead. Let’s see if that works.
