September 17, 2011 at 1:01 am #168642Hey Guys,
I’m trying to finish off this site but am having some issues finding where to edit a few things:
- I would love to remove the CPanel menu in the top right
- I would love to edit on the main page where it says “Fashon News” I can’t find where to do this anywhere.
- Also on the main page I cannot seem to find out how to remove the written by under the Featured Articles
- It would be great to know how to remove the date from the featured articles as well (I don’t know if I will but the option would be great)
- No matter how many times I replace the favicon in the images folder I still get the Joomla favicon
I am running Joomla 1.7 and uploaded a screenshot of the elements that I’m having problems with.
Thanks in advance!

September 17, 2011 at 2:55 am #413184#1 go to the cpanel section in templates->profiles and turn all “shows” to hide”
#2 appears to be a “category title” search through “categorys” and look for the title is on. Alternatively it could be an article title.. Check “article manager” for a article by that name, turn ‘show title” off
#3 under parameters turn “author” off
#4 same only “date”
#5 favicons can be a pain. I never seem to get them right the first time. Take a look @ JA T3 Framework 2/FAQs – JoomlArt Wiki for detailsandrewhollister Friendandrewhollister

September 17, 2011 at 3:38 am #413190n6rej,
Thanks a ton for the feed back. # 1 worked like a charm, and #5 I think I needed to clear my cache. For 2 – 4 I already tried that and it looks like the front page / features section has some kind of over ride, so I just commented out the code in the template, and all is well.
Thanks again for the feedback the CPanel thing was driving me crazy!
