I am in the process of switching templates on an existing blog. I’m moving from JA Avian II to JA Ruby in Joomla 1.5.17. I have another site that uses the JA Ruby template, so I am very familiar with the template. Everything has gone pretty well, with the exception of getting Slideshow2 to work.

It appears that there is no module position for Slideshow. In my other site, there is one labeled ja-slideshow. At this point, it doesn’t matter what slide show module I select, there is no module position for it anyway. What can I do?

I understand from other posts that some have suggested installing the Quickstart template for this situation, but since it is an existing site, I would rather not overtly disrupt the current installation. Or is that not an issue?

    The site is: http://leightonhubbell-blog.com

    Thanks for your help.

using ?tp=1 after the url I see a module position called slideshow above the main content panel and below the menu area sits about middle on the shadow line

if there is a declared position called slideshow, which there is, type slideshow as a position in the module position drop down and the select it to force the module to that position

That worked! Awesome. Thank you for your help.

I forgot about that module position trick. Thanks for reminding me. I appreciate the assistance – and so quickly. 😀
