Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

I am using Mageia, running on Joomla 1.0.15 on an XAMPP development box.

No matter what I try, I cant get the drop down menus to work. I have been changing the correct value for the required menu in index.php, I have tried installing and using the JA_Transmenu V.2 module to see if that made any difference, but still nothing.

If I can’t get the transmenu to work, I would be more than happy with the moomenu, but it’s eluding me!
