    Hi
I want to install JA Purity 11 on my local server. I have unzipped the folder and found the template zip.
When I try to upload I get the message
    Warning! Failed to move file.
I am thinking this might be a permssions problem? But what permissions?
    Thanks for the help

    :-*

I have been changing permissions like mad. I have now installed Purity 11, but I got the following erroer messages
It was not possible to copy the selected file.
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/aycb/tmp/install_4e419b0407d63/en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini to /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/aycb/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini
It was not possible to copy the selected file.
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/aycb/tmp/install_4e419b0407d63/admin/en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini to /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/aycb/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini

Please can someone tell me what all of this means, and what I can do about it?

    Hi,
Beside error code, did your template install success ?
    – May i know which OS you are using ? Windows or Linux ? ( or Mac , i guess MAC ? ).
    – Would you mind to check in our packed, do en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini still there or missed. If missed please try to re-download quickstart / template from our site.
Please let’s me know if you still cant solve issue.
    Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to help. The en-GB.tpl_ja_purity_ii.ini is there. I am using a Mac. I am running OS 10.5.8

I notice that my htdocs folder is locked, so I do not know what the permissions are on it. Is that normal?

    Hi there,
At most time, this issue could be chmod permission / owner permission. Sadly i don’t have Mac device for testing.
I’ll pass this issue to another dev in team with Mac to help you.
    Thank you

ps:// would you mind try to install with another our product. Please let’s me know if still problems.

    Hi
I have checked permissions and set everything I can to 777. htdocs is locked. I am not sure what to do about that?

    Hi,

You should try to install via FTP >> http://docs.joomla.org/Installing_a_template << scroll to bottom

Its more of server side issue and try this link >> http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2408025 scroll down a bit..
