I read the prev post about editing php.ini upload max..but my php.ini does not have that otpyion..and i cannot get the .htccs.txt option to work either to raise the max upload. I get the There was an error uploading this file to the server…error..any ideas?

When do you get this error? When you are ftp’ing the file up? When you are running the install script?

Im am getting this error when im using the joomla installation from extension manager. It runs for about 20 secs then the error pops up. Sorry i was clear before..this i just the template not the quick start.

Ok, in that case it is probably a permissions error. Check the script has write permissions to the templates and tmp folders of your joomla install or temporarily set them to 777.

If that doesn’t work, upload the template to the tmp directory, switch on error reporting in the joomla back end then try the install from url option and you should get a more helpful error message.

They are folders on your server, where on your server I cannot tell. Just look in your ftp program for those folders.

It is the template zip you are trying to install and not the whole zip?

Glad you got it sorted. As templates get bigger I can see more and more people having this problem.
