    Hi,

    I am having a problem with my JA Opal Theme.

    No matter what I try, I cannot get the images from my articles on the front page to act as links to other pages. I am using the “Front Page Blog Layout” with one main article and 3 secondary articles.

    The secondary articles (similar to the demo page) need to be linked (via their respective images) to pages within the site. I’ve tried adding <a> tags to them within the articles, to no avail. It’s extremely frustrating. :((

    Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

    Hi Arvind,

    Ok, the URL is http://www.bafokkeshirts.com . I’ve just opened the site to the public for a short period so that you can see what the problem is. I need to close it ASAP since it is still under development.

    You will see that I have 3 “secondary” articles, “Order, “FAQ”, and “Contact”. I need those images to link to those respective pages on our site.

    Thanks.

    Hi Sitefusion,

    Take backup of the file before editing.

    Open the file: templates/ja_opal/html/com_content/frontpage/default_item.php and find the following code:
    [PHP]
    $image = JA_Tools::extractImage ($this->item, true, $this->imageWidth, $this->imageHeight);
    [/PHP]

    Replace with:
    [PHP]
    // $image = JA_Tools::extractImage ($this->item, true, $this->imageWidth, $this->imageHeight);
    $image=”
    [/PHP]
