    I’m using Joomla 1.7
    When I go to menu Language it shows all language packs installed. Then I click In Brazilian Portuguese and translate the file. After that the component in Joomla Frontend show only the strings releted to the transalation and not the text. I checked the language directory and the language file is there. But the component act like there is no language file.

    Hi,

    thanks for sharing.
    There is a problem with Your file – You are missing quotes.

    Now it’s like that:

    WARNING_BEFOR_DELETED=Warning befor deleted

    and should be

    WARNING_BEFOR_DELETED=”Warning befor deleted”

    Hi
    I tried to remove quotes to make work and send you the file without quotes. But it doesn´t work even with quotes. Please take a loke at the attachment15045
    I reinstalled the componnet. Then i went to Language and translated a part of the file for the brazilian version.
    When I go to the front end, changes that I made don´t appear. So I tried to make the change at the EN-GB file. When I do that only strings appear at the front end. It´s like the language file doesn´t exist.
    Then I reinstall the component and everything is ok.
    I tried to translate at my local test server and Everything works. Then I tried to upload the translated file that worked in the local server. But it didn´t work.
    I Tried to give permission 777 to the language file and didn´t work.

    Hi,
    Please accept the fact that JoomlArt has not yet released the upgraded version for J.1.7.x and this might be the case for this issues.

    In my case it’s joomla 1.6. … but I found a way. I added the phrases from the comment file to main language file, and it works then. I’m not sure this will not make any conflict in any other part of the site…

    Hi,

    No there is no conflict but may i ask this ? Did you try to translate JA Comments from component’s function or you did this with your editor (notepad ++ ) and then you uploaded the file on your language folder ?

    You can check my attachment

    Hi,
    I tried only through the admin panel of the component not uploading the file. Should I try the other way?
    At the moment I was trying to translate it adding text to lt-LT.ini file, but it helps only with ‘name’, ’email’ etc., but does not help with frazes which show up when hovering over the text line… so I have to find a solution through component language file 🙁

    I guess I was too fast with my thanks. The thing worked for main frazes: see atached file
    but it doesn’t work with hovered frazes (still shows english):
