JA extension manager will not update JA Events template.

    Current version 1.0.0
    Update version 1.2.0

It creates a backup to rollback, but does not continue. >:(
I’ve tried both Joomlart or repository with an older version and still can’t do it.

php.ini is set to memory size 256M and uploads to 20M

    please help.
    thanks

Tom, the Extension Manager is working good… The only update that does nothing is the template update.

Guys… any help??? Is getting worse. I’ve noticed that the Mega Menu also disapeared after I updated Joomla to 2.5, as recommended by J! website.:((

    Hello soaresa,

I believe the update halts because the extensions manager has detected conflicting files. It checks the repository for the original component. If this isn’t there or it differs from the live component (due to customization), the extensions mgr hesitates to overwrite the customized files.

When you click compare, you can see which file or files are marked as conflicting and make a backup of those before proceeding.

As for upgrading to Joomla 2.5, you should really wait until the template is released in a 2.5 version. There is a 1.7.5 version of Joomla! released in tandem with the 2.5.1 version a couple of days ago.

    Regards, steinar

    Hi steinar,

is not even going to that part when I can see if there’s some conflict…

And is not just for 2.5. In fact, I’ve updated to 2.5 because I was trying to update the an more current version of the template. The first time that I’ve tried to update this template was in May 2011. Since then, I’ve been trying to fight with this update and somethings in the template are not working well.

    I’m not a coder, so I didn’t do a lot of customization…

I’m frustrated, because I have created a user for Joomlart support to go in and check, and nobody did it… Can I get some support here guys? :((
    Thanks.
