Hi everyone. I’m running JA_PurityII template on Joomla 2.5.8. My extension manager is telling me that there are 2 updates:

    JA Purity II template for Joomla 2.5 | Update | Template | 2.5.3 | N/A | Site | http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/ja_purity_ii.xml
    JA T3v2 System Plugin | Update | Plugin | 2.5.6 | system | Site | http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/plg_system_jat3.xml

I can’t install these updates. When I try to update either one, I get the same result: -1 – An error has occurred. Copy failed.

I’ve tried looking at the CDATA in the XML & have downloaded the update zip files manually. When I try to upload & install I get the same result.

    Any suggestions?

    Bill

    Hello Bill,

Please check your components, plugins folder if they have permission to write or not. Folders must be permitted to write files/folders on them. Otherwise resources can’t be copied to them.

    Regards.

Hi, thank you for the reply. Can you elaborate on this? I’m still learning how to do all of this & not sure what you mean or how to check on that.

Please change “plugins”, “templates” folders to 775 as below screenshot.

After that, download T3 plugin here http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2144 and JA Purity II template here http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2146 to install to your site.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards.

Hmm.. I did that, and I was able to install those files. They are the same versions I’m currently running though. I then tried to update & get the same error. I checked permissions from the back-end, and everything is allowed for my super-user account… any other ideas?
