June 14, 2013 at 2:43 am #495844Hi,
Did you try to use our JA Extension Manager component to update? It’s recommended to use this component to update JA Products.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
Regards
June 14, 2013 at 4:29 am #495859I wanted to simplify the update process for clients so I did not install the JA Extension Manager considering the T3 template and plugin appear in the core Extension / Update list.
If the JA Extension Manager is the only way then I will have to install it. But I would like to suggest not showing the JA products in the core Update list when it just gives a cryptic error.

June 17, 2013 at 2:19 am #496002Hi,
The core Joomla update is used for free Joomla extensions only, when you check update with this core Joomla update service, it still caches the old info of JA products and keep noticing update message. You can get rid of them with this tips.
Backup your site first and proceed update with JAEM then let me know if you face any problem.

June 17, 2013 at 4:36 pm #496077As a web design agency, I can work my way through updating T3 but my goal is to “simplify the update process for clients”.
Why can’t T3 be updated like any other plugin?

June 18, 2013 at 7:59 am #496142This is greate and useful component for updating product. It provides options to :
– Check if there is any new version
– Compare different versions: you can know which files are modified/added/deleted and decide which file to update
– Update and rollback easily
See this wiki page for more info: http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/How-to and you can give it a try.
