January 19, 2014 at 1:39 pm #193869This problem relates to behaviour of JA Beranis on an Android phone
Off canvas navigation is set to “On”
‘Always show submenu’ is set to “Off”When you touch the ‘menu button’ (with 3 bars) on the visible home page the collapsed menu appears on the left – all good.
However when you touch a ‘rolled up’ menu item, expecting the submenus to drop down, instead the side menu collapses and you see the main page again. The only way to see and touch the submenu items is to touch the ‘menu button’ again, to make the collapsed menu appear again on the left.
The only solution I can see is that I have to set ‘Always show submenu’ to “On”
What must I do to make the collapsed menu show its submenus without hiding itself?

January 20, 2014 at 8:15 am #519040Did you experience the same issue with our demo site here: http://joomla-templates.joomlart.com/ja_beranis/index.php/en/ ?

January 20, 2014 at 1:01 pm #519108Well your demo has the submenu items permanently expanded – the way I have done so far on my site as a workaround.
You would have to change the backend of your demo to remove the ‘permanently expanded’ setting so I can do a proper testSaguaros ModeratorSaguaros

January 21, 2014 at 8:57 am #519227You can try to create a demo site via our demo builder tool: http://joomhost.com/ so that I can check and give you suggestion.

January 22, 2014 at 12:54 pm #519382I don’t really need to build a demo site.
I have already built a new site with JABeranis – it is currently in a subfolder of my domain until I finish loading it and ironing out all the bugs. The problem is as stated in my first post – is there anything about the problem you don’t understand?
Please try changing the setting for ‘Always show submenu’ to ‘No’ on your own JABeranis demo site – open the site with an android mobile (with a screen size like a Galaxy S2) and you should then see what I am talking about.

January 24, 2014 at 11:08 am #519682Sorry, I don’t quite understand.
I followed the link to Github and it shows Joomlart has closed the issue with the comment ‘Fixed’
If it is ‘Fixed’, what is the solution?

January 25, 2014 at 9:28 am #519796@ bcollie,
Please try to update this file to see if the issue is fixed or not.
https://github.com/t3framework/t3/blob/master/source/plg_system_t3/base/js/off-canvas.js=> plugin/system/t3/base/js/off-canvas.js
Let me know how it goes.

January 28, 2014 at 1:52 pm #520228Is this different to the bug-fix which resulted in ver 2.1.0 of T3 Framwework?
That bug-fix resolved the off-canvas menu closing after selecting a top level menu item <good> – but resulted in a new problem (as I reported above), where the caret mark to signify a rolled up sub-menu is now missing <frustrating>.

February 3, 2014 at 1:33 pm #520944You’ll see in the attached that the Main Menu items which have submenus (Bed and Breakfast, Border Collies) ahve a white background instead of those entries which don’t have submenus (Home etc)
Also there is no Caret mark anymore next to Bed and Breakfast etc when the menu is collapsed.
The screenshot shows the menus fully opened as the default at the moment until I find a solution to the problems above.

February 4, 2014 at 2:29 am #521032@ bcollie,
Did you upgrade the framework or just the single javascript file above?
The javascript file should not contain any change to style and it is really weird to have those as per your screenshot.I have checked JA Beranis and the result is better:
http://www.clipular.com/c/4544922799570944.png?k=KP0WW8BsgcJeCeCJKKP8-YHuDJ0If you did make change to any style, please try to revert it.
In case you still have any issue, please PM the admin credentials of your site, I will try to debug on your site.AuthorPostsThis topic contains 17 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated by Wall Crasher 10 years, 10 months ago.
