Hello,
I receive some “bad >:(” application now from the apply now form in job details.
Is it possible to add a small captcha in forms available for everybody ?
Thanks

January 7, 2010 at 2:40 pm #328571I’ll second that 😛
Captcha for guest posts would be good (or just making it so you can’t apply for jobs without logging in). I get a fair few spambots on my site (mostly MMO currencies and gentlemens medications), and have to moderate comments and such.
If you log into your demo site right now as employer, and look at your applications, you’ll see there’s about 3 “genuine” applications at the bottom, followed by about 50 which were filled in by spambots (note in particular the frequency of posts, how similar they are but with some letters changed, and the fact that they’re trying to use BBCode to insert links to sites which have been taken down for hosting malware). I suspect if you looked in the database at applications for all employers, you’d see mountains and mountains of them.
I’d rather not spend several hours a day deleting spam job applications and apologising repeatedly to my users for the inconvenience.
Would also be good for registration – stops spambots signing up for accounts in the first place. Can I use the community builder registration component? It has a captcha addon, so I could use that and modify the template so it checks if you’re logged in before allowing you to view the application form…

January 8, 2010 at 8:49 am #328659Hi there,
I would like to inform that Captcha for application has been completed and will be released with version 1.4.0.
Regarding your question: “Can I use the community builder registration component?”
=> I am afraid that JB does not support with regard to comunity builder.2 users say Thank You to JA Developer for this useful post

June 8, 2010 at 10:01 am #346335Hi Sider,
You could enable the captcha in job posting configuration in the admin panel of JA JOB (global config, job posting tab) :
At bottom, see : Enable code verification for application?: No Yes
All the best
