    Hi there.
    I have problem with captcha in the register form. I’m still using JA-Tiris standard register form.
    The picture of captcha is not showing, even though I was set in global configuration “default captcha” is captcha-Recaptcha.

    Am I miss something here?

    Hi there,

    Did you get your own Public and Private key values from https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/index.html?

    Hi there,

    If your Public and Private Key for Recaptcha are your own, please do the following:

    1) please download the attached recaptcha.txt file

    2) rename it to recaptcha.php

    3) go to /plugins/captcha/recaptcha/ and rename your recaptcha.php file to recaptcha.php-FAULTY

    4) upload to /plugins/captcha/recaptcha/ the new recaptcha.php, which you downloaded from my attachment and renamed

    5) clear your T3 and browser cache and see how it goes.

    Thanks Alex. It’s working now. But I have error “Could not open socket” when I hit register button.
    Do I need to change security access ? Could you tell which one and what access should I give it?

    New registration form is more complete then before. I like it.

    One more things. When I tried to use online transaction, click checkout button and I click new customer (registration), I got registration form that very different with registration login form. Why is it different? How can I make it same form (registration login form and registration new customer form)?

    Still no luck. error is “Could not open socket” even though i was create new private and public key.

    Hi there,

    Please rename your recaptcha.php file to recaptcha.php-WITH-THE-FIX, update your Joomla 2.5 to the latest at the time of this writing version 2.5.20 and see how it goes.

    Please consult your host should you face any issues with updating your Joomla.

    Hi Alex,
    I can’t update joomla from administrator site. But I already install joomla 2.5.5 from spanel.
    and since I’m newbie in joomla. so how can It effect to Tiris template after installed it from spanel?
    Here what I had done:
    1. install joomla 2.5.5 from spanel. It was deleting tiris template.
    2. I tried to run quickstart of Tiris again, and after I done it. I check it in the component >> Joomla update, but current version is still 2.5.14

    could you give me some advice?

    Hi there,

    1) Download Joomla 2.5.20 installation ZIP archive from joomla.org

    2) Upload it to the root of your web-site

    3) Unpack this installation archive via your hosting panel file management tool, using option “Extract”

    4) Delete the /installation/ folder

    There you have it.

    Hi Alex,
    I just update my joomla into 2.5.20. and try with login registration form.
    Captcha code is showing. But still got error after I click register button.
    the error said:
    “The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again.”

    I was type the correct one and I tried 5 times. see image below sample, but the error still occurs.

    Need your advice, thanks Alex.

    You haven’t updated your Joomla. Please have a look at what I see from my end trying to login to your Joomla backend panel:

    Is there a particular reason you are trying to install JA Tiris on Joomla 2.5 as opposite to on Joomla 3.x?

    As we support JA Tiris for both Joomla 2.5 and 3.x, I wouldn’t advise you one against the other. What I would advise you, though, is to install both of our JA Tiris Quick Start packs, each one its own database and in its own sub-folder, like, for example, JA Tiris QS for J! 2.5 into /test-j25/, and JA Tiris QS for J! 3.x into /test-j3/.

    This way you yourself will play with both, which in turn will make your final decision on which Joomla version to use for your main site much easier.

    Hi Alex,
    Unfortunately, I can’t install joomla 3. 🙁 since my hosting server is stil using PHP 5.3.3 and I can’t talk with them.
    So lets play in joomla 2.5 for now.

    Back to my problem, Captcha. Still got error (see below).

    So far, I’m already upgrade joomla 2.5.14 into 2.5.20.
    I need your advice, regarding error above.

    Hi Alex,
    I was tried to solve my problem but still no luck.
    What I have tried is
    1. I checked “component > K2 > parameter > advanced” and retype public key and private key. Result was same error
    2. I turn off captcha (None) in user manager option. Result was captcha not showing

    So now, I’m wait from yours.. please help me.
