    I installed JA Comment 1.0.2.

I upgraded to Joomla 1.6.3. When I enter a comment and click “Submit conmment” (sic) it says “Your captcha was invalid text.” It then changes the letters, I enter the new captcha, it says the same thing. It is stuck in an infinite loop.

If I disable the captcha image security then when I click “Submit conmment” a blue box appears saying “You must input your comment.” The blue box disappears after a few seconds but no comment is posted.

With Joomla 1.6.0 when I clicked “Submit conmment” a brownish box appears saying “Loading…” Nothing happened after that. The “Loading…” box never went away.

A second problem is that when I login before posting a comment it seems to forget that I’m logged in, and when I click “Submit conmment” it asks for my name and e-mail address.

A third problem is the button “Submit conmment”. How do I correct that typo?

I solved an earlier problem. The documentation doesn’t say to publish the module “JA Comment Latest comments” and enable the plug-in “JomComment.”

How do I fix these problems? Is it possible that there’s a third component that needs to be published?

    My website is http://www.stutteringtherapyreviews.com/.

    Hello,

For third problem, you can open 2 files /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jacomment.ini and /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jacomment.ini. Then find out the word “Submit conmment” and correct it.

For the others, please download this attached file to update in your site to fix this problem.

    Best regards.

Can you give me better instructions for installing the attached files? There’s no XML setup file so I can’t install them using the Extension Manager. Do you want me to FTP the files into specific directories? What directories? I looked in plugins/content/jacomment/elements/ but there’s no directories “assets” or “themes”.

Yeah, you should unzip the attached file and FTP them into specific directories. That directories is:

    – (Zip file) assetjsja.comment.js —> (Site file) componentscom_jacommentassetjsja.comment.js

    themesdefaulthtmlcommentshead.php —> componentscom_jacommentthemesdefaulthtmlcommentshead.php

    Best regards.

It’s better but still not working. Now after I click “Submit comment” the comment appears, but it also says “0 COMMENT” (the counter thinks there are no comments). When I refresh the page the comment disappears. I will create a new support ticket and give you my FTP password. You can upload files to fix the problem if you want.

    Hello,

You should approve the comment in Back-end before it can be displayed in Front-end.

You can set your site to omit the comment approving step in Back-end. Come to JA Comment configuration page, then Comment Settings page. Uncheck “Admin need to approve new comment” check box in this page.

    Best regards.

JA Comment is working perfectly now. Thanks! I will leave a 5-star review on the Joomla Extensions webpage for your fast support.

Thanks for the fix, it worked like a charm.
For me, my problem was that the first captcha entry was never working, but the second time I entered one, it was correct.

With the fix, every input in the captcha box works.
