When ever I click on an item on the featured products or even show cart on the frontpage, it displays the product details or cart details underneath the frontpage modules (JA-slideshow, JA-Slider, vm-fp). This only happens on the front page and not in any of the category pages. For example, when I click view cart from the contacts page it shows up fine and in a different page. I need the details to show in different page just like the Demo of this template.

I realized that whenever I click on an item in the frontpage the link is – index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=11&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=20&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

When I change the itemid=1 to itemid=7 it gives me the correct result. Plz help.

Ok. I found the Solution. I realized that I haven’t actually got a menu link to VM. Joomla assigns an itemid based on menu entries. That’s why VM is picking up the last used itemid. It hasn’t been assigned one.
So when I created a menu link to VM. Everything got fixed 🙂
