July 24, 2008 at 2:23 pm #262025Okay…here are my thoughts.
1. The “it worked before, but now it doesn’t” part of your issue gives me a clue that something you added to your site AFTER you added your video handling component is now causing a conflict with it. Easiest way to diagnose that is to go back and “unpublish”, one at a time, those components, modules or plugins you’ve added since you had your videos appearing correctly.
Once you’ve found the offending module or whatever then we might be able to find a work around for you. It’s usually a javascript conflict.
2. It could be as simple as your Editor…if you are using a WYSIWYG (especially the TinyMCE that comes with Joomla, but could be others) that could be screwing up your code. To check that, turn off all editors and try hard coding it by hand. Sometimes TinyMCE decides on its own that you really didn’t mean to do something…when actually you did.
Until then, what add-on are you using to display the video in the way you describe? Maybe someone who’s used it might know a quick solution.
Thanks,
