    Made some changes a while back to category blog page layout so that it would work just like the features page layout — ja thumnail has a thumbnail that appears on right. I did not test it in IE, just firefox, and I now see that it does not look/work right in IE.

    Note that the ja_ravehtmlcom_contentcategoryblog_item.phpblog_item.php file was replaced as part of the fix provided to me — it’s the only php file that’s been modified.

    The site is microvation.org. I have created a support ticket so I could provide access information in case anyone from joomlart looks at this and wants access to files.

    The attached annotated screenshot shows the problem exactly. Any help very greatly appreciated, I am supposed to launch this site next week.

    Thanks,
    -billb
    PS: The ticket created with all access info is #CAU-862-79904

    Thanks Phil, sure, it’s http://www.microvation.org. Select the “Fake News” menu option to see the problem (or click here)

    Details and the file are in this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-get-featured-articles-layout-to-appear-in-caegory-blog-pages/

    If you don’t want to read that entire thread, then then I’ve pulled the key stuff here. I attached the modified PHP file that was provided, and the code change, adding the following 4 lines in template.css

    .items-row .contentpaneopen { padding-right: 140px; position: relative; }
    .items-row .contentpaneopen img.img { margin: 0px !important;width:120px;height:120px; }
    .blog img.left { top: -5px; position: absolute; right: 0px; }
    .blog div.haveimage { padding-right: 140px; position: relative; }

    What version of IE are you seeing this problem in?

    I’m testing in IE 8, that’s where I’m seeing the problem. FYI, I don’t care about IE 7 or IE 6, just IE 8 and IE 9. Thanks! -billb

    Hi microvation,

    I went to your template configuration >> Global tab here I filled template.css into the field of Optimize Exclude and it helped to solve the issue in IE,Please check it again yourself.
