September 30, 2009 at 1:16 am #144720For one page I am using the category blog layout with zero leading articles and two columns. I have ordered the articles by date created. However, I would like the multi-column order (set in the advanced parameters) to be down. However, no matter how I set the multi-column order (down or across) it looks the same – the articles are always ordered across. I noticed in other forums discussing other templates this tends to be a general problem: unless using JA Purity or Rhuk_Milkyway, the multi-column order setting does not work. Do you have a solution?
Many thanks in advance.

July 16, 2011 at 1:41 pm #401425Any solution to this issue? I have the same problem but my order is down when I want it to be across. No matter what I do the order is always down the column. Changing Multi Column Order makes no difference.

I am having the same problem in JA_Anion on Joomla 1.7.2. No matter what I do with the blog layout settings the articles will not display in 3 columns across…only down. :((

Hi bennie01,
You could open the file of templatesja_minisitecsslayout.css look for this css
.cols-2 .item { width: 50%; }
.cols-3 .item { width: 33.33%; }
.cols-4 .item { width: 25%; }
.cols-5 .item { width: 20%; }
and change it to
.cols-2 .item { width: 50%;float:left }
.cols-3 .item { width: 33.33%;float:left }
.cols-4 .item { width: 25%;float:left }
.cols-5 .item { width: 20%;float:left }
I hope it would help !

Hi flying_cot,
I think It’s better if you upgrade your site to Joomla 2.5, Joomla 1.7 no longer been supported and it might contains potential bugs 🙁
